I replaced Adobe, Figma, and Canva with ChatGPT and one open-source tool

Open Design, an Apache-2.0 licensed tool from the nexu-io team, lets users generate designs by describing what they want rather than manually building them. It auto-detects installed coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI and uses them as the AI backend via a BYOK model, eliminating the need for a separate subscription. The author used it to replace Adobe, Figma, and Canva, finding it capable of producing presentation decks with minimal editing. The main drawback is that it consumes coding agent session limits, though switching to a local LLM is an option.
