Kabam, the studio behind Marvel Contest of Champions, has laid off an undisclosed number of employees as part of a consolidation of its Los Angeles office. The company cited a review of strategic priorities but provided no details on the number of affected staff. No WARN notices have been filed with California's Employment Development Department. Kabam's LA presence dates back to 2015 acquisitions of Tapzen and Magic Pixel Games, and the studio has conducted layoffs previously in 2022 and 2023.
