Codename One version 7.0.251 ships with four major additions: a portable GPU-accelerated 3D graphics API (com.codename1.gpu) that targets Metal, OpenGL ES, WebGL, and Direct3D 11 from the same Java code; a game development API (com.codename1.gaming) with a game loop, sprites, scenes, and Box2D physics; a native Windows target that compiles Java/Kotlin bytecode to a standalone Win32 .exe via ParparVM and clang-cl with no JVM required (4–8 MB output, both x64 and arm64); and cross-platform printing plus Apple Wallet issuer-provisioning support. The release also includes a rebuilt build cloud infrastructure, simulator UX improvements, a bytecode compliance bug fix, smoother iOS UIScene startup, and a per-component browser light/dark mode pin for iOS.
