Fabrizio Espíndola, author of The Unity Shaders Bible, has announced a 14-hour video course titled 'Real-Time Water in Unity: From Splashes to Oceans'. The course covers a range of water simulation techniques from simple splashes to procedural ocean systems, using Shader Graph, HLSL, Particle System, and C# compute shaders. It requires basic shader knowledge and progresses through 2D/3D water, buoyancy, flowmaps, depth textures, foam effects, and wave math. The course includes 10 hours of core content plus up to 4 additional hours based on student requests. A wishlist is available for launch notifications.
