The original founders of Bossfight Entertainment have relaunched as an independent studio called Bossfight, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The studio was previously shut down by Netflix in October 2025 despite the success of Squid Game: Unleashed. Led by CEO David Rippy, CPO Bill Jackson, and COO Scott Winsett, the new studio plans to maintain a small core team while working on an unannounced PC and mobile title. Separately, 26 former Bossfight developers had earlier formed Sunwise Games, a 30-person independent studio focused on systems-driven PC games.
