OtherSide Entertainment, the studio co-founded by Warren Spector and Paul Neurath, laid off 17 employees following the cancellation of a game codenamed Argos. The studio cited the 'brutally challenging' current gaming landscape as making the project's continuation unviable. The layoffs occurred shortly after the May 20 launch of Thick as Thieves, which had been pivoted from a PvP/PvE stealth game to a two-player co-op and single-player experience. OtherSide entered a strategic partnership with Aonic Group in 2023 to grow the studio and deliver original titles.
