Ubisoft has launched The Player Council, a platform inviting players to test early-stage game concepts, prototypes, and live projects before public release. Announced at Gamescom 2026, the soft-launched platform currently offers four projects to test, including Riders Republic, Atomega, and two unreleased concepts codenamed Split Point and Rook, with two more projects arriving in autumn 2026. Testers sign NDAs and advance through tiers that unlock access to more sensitive early-stage content. Player Council director Vye Alexander says the goal is incubating ideas with players before games reach the first playable prototype stage, distinguishing it from traditional external playtesting.
