Ubisoft has appointed Julien Bares, a veteran of Tencent Games and 2K China, as general manager of Creative Houses 3 and 5, which focus on live games and mobile/casual games respectively. Separately, Thomas Andrén, managing director of Ubisoft's Massive studio, has been named general manager of the newly-created Creative Network arm, tasked with providing production capacity across Creative Houses. These appointments are part of Ubisoft's broader restructuring into a Creative House model, announced in January, which also involved cancelling six projects and a €200 million cost-cutting initiative.
