Microsoft has released an MIT-licensed sample project containing four GDExtensions for Godot that wrap key Xbox and Microsoft APIs for PC game development. The extensions cover the Microsoft Game Development Kit (GDK), PlayFab cloud services (multiplayer, matchmaking, leaderboards, achievements), and the GameInput low-level input API. Notably, this is targeted at Xbox on PC rather than Xbox consoles — console support requires a separate license. The release signals Microsoft's recognition of the Godot ecosystem as a platform worth supporting.
